Formation of ADRO

The Abu Dhabi Residents Office (ADRO) was formed following three steps that conferred various qualities to its mandate and direction

Inception


  • Abu Dhabi Executive Office (ADEO) approved the creation of Abu Dhabi Residents Office (ADRO) as a department at the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED)
  • ADRO formed to provide services to expatriate residents of Abu Dhabi

Custodian of Attraction Visas

  • ADEO appointed ADRO as the custodian of attraction visas and citizenship
  • This includes the Golden Visa, temporary and virtual work visas

By-laws Approval Authority

  • ADEO authorizing ADDED Chairman as approver of Abu Dhabi attraction visas and citizenship by-laws, in coordination with key stakeholders
